    How to choose your Main Form to File your Federal Tax Return.

    As Tax season is starting up, we all need to complete our Federal and state tax return as correct and as early as possible. 

    For Federal Tax return, there are generally six Main forms are available.  1040EZ, 1040A, 1040, 1040NR, 1040NREZ, 1040PR.

    If you are preparing your taxes by your own, you should have some knowledge ( or your software does for you) to choose your main form to start your tax return.

    • If you don’t want to do Itemise Deduction.
    • Claim credits like Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Credit etc.

    Form 1040 may always be used for any of the above things. It will include all the dependents information, credits, deductions, payments etc.
